Boghuma K. Titanji, MD, MSc, DTM&H, PhD is a Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases. Prior to starting her training at Emory, Dr. Titanji completed a PhD in infectious diseases at University College London in the United Kingdom. Her research focused on cell-to-cell spread of HIV-1 across a virological synapse and how antiretroviral agents can be used to target this unique mode of spread. She plans to continue her research on HIV pathogenesis and how to more effectively target the virus within the host, with the aim of eliminating the viral reservoir.
