Today we will be talking about mental health in Africa, a topic that we’ve wanted to cover on the podcast for the longest time and we have an amazing guest with us.
We are joined by Saphira Munthali-Mulemba. As a Mental Health practitioner, Saphira is a mental health practitioner with over 11 years of implementing mental health clinical trials in Zambia as a Project Manager with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg, Public Health team and Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia. Currently, she is part of the Social Science Humanitarian Action Platform (SSHAP), fellowship program as a social scientist. Saphira is affiliated with the Global Mental Health Action Network (GMHAN) and has a track record of impact as a Zambian therapist, mental health advocate, and mental health implementation manager. Saphira currently works with the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia.
